In the South of France, there is an international, interdenominational community called Taizé where people are committed to great simplicity of life. Their worship is marked by such commitments. These services use music, uncluttered by too many words, candlelight and silence, to bring us closer to the presence of God around us and within us. At St. Mary’s, we worship several times a year in the Spirit of Taizé, including a New Year’s Eve Taize service.
