Martha comes to her work as a Deacon with a joy of hearing people’s stories and making personal connections. She has a passion for seeing the Holy Spirit at work in community. She has raised her family at St. Mary’s for the last eighteen years, and during that time been fed in her own spiritual journey by her work as an Education for Ministry mentor, extensive work with the formation of children, pastoral care for those in need, and a love of fun.

In her many previous lives in the world she has been a corporate banker, a coach to parents of toddlers, a mom to two nearly grown sons, a caregiver to elderly parents and a traditional wife of an attorney. She trains her Portuguese Water Dog, and together they visit classrooms of children with special needs. She looks forward to where the Spirit will lead her in her life as a Deacon for St. Mary’s.
