At St. Mary’s we are passionate about liturgy. It is planned with beauty, care, and creativity and is central to our spiritual nourishment. We cherish our Anglican tradition while looking for new ways to inspire. Our services usually take place in the recently air-conditioned sanctuary. With its cozy brick, high-beamed ceilings, intricately carved altar and majestic Jaeckel pipe organ, the sanctuary is an uplifting place to worship and celebrate the Good News.
Sunday mornings typically consist of two services, an 8 a.m. spoken service, and a 10 a.m. service with music.
A said Eucharist using Rite I from The Book of Common Prayer. Limited music is provided by the organ and congregants. (Attendance averages about 30 parishioners.)
A sung Eucharist using elements from Enriching Our Worship, The Book of Common Prayer and other liturgical resources. Music is an integral part of the service and is woven throughout the service by our choirmaster, adult choir and pipe organ. The children's Treble Choir also contributes to the service at times. Children attend church school during the first half of the service and then join the congregation for the Eucharist. A nursery for children two and under is staffed by child care workers. (Average attendance: 190)
