We Did It! Greenlining Results

We are pleased to announce that in one month, the Greenlining Campaign raised $228,880 for Lawndale Christian Development Corporation’s (LCDC) Canaan Homes!  St. Mary's parishioners  contributed nearly $18,000 of that total.  More than 337 individuals, families, and organizations supported this campaign to surpass our goal.

Thank you to each and every person and community who offered their time, treasure, talent, and prayers for this initiative. We used our collective power and strengthened our connections to deliver one victory towards achieving our dream of a city where all people have access to safe and affordable homes. In a time marked by anxiety, fear and despair we chose to act with audacity. Following the lead of change-makers in Lawndale, we are declaring that a more equitable city is worth the risk.

The dollars you gave through the Greenlining Campaign will raise up the Canaan model home and a trained community organizer from Lawndale. Just as every single brick is important when building a house, so is each and every one-on-one conversation, social media post, hour worked, article read, and idea shared. Our gratitude for what we have accomplished this past month is immeasurable. It has been an honor to work alongside all of you. Thank you. We look forward to where the Spirit and our colleagues in Lawndale lead us.

May the success of the Greenlining Campaign be the catalyst for building 1,000 houses and more!
