St. Mary's asks its members to thoughtfully consider their giving to the Church.
You may make a one-time or recurring donation to St. Mary's here via a secure on-line connection.
St. Mary's relies on annual pledges from its members and supporters to carry on our mission and ministries. When you make a pledge to the church, you let us know in advance what you plan to give for the year ahead. If you would like to make a pledge, please see our online Pledge Card.
When you make a financial pledge to St. Mary, you indicate in advance how much you plan to give for the coming year. The large majority of our annual income is made up of pledged gifts. Pledges made in advance help us to plan our budget for the coming year.
The theme this fall for the 2024 Annual Fundraising (Pledge) Campaign is "Rooted in Abundance." We experience God's abundant gifts to us in many different ways at St. Mary's, whether it be through the weekly liturgy, opportunities to connect, build relationships, learn and grow together, or through serving others through our various ministries. We make financial gifts or pledges to St. Mary's each year so that we can continue to experience God's abundance in our church home.
As you reflect on your annual pledge for 2024, we invite you to ponder what you love about St. Mary's and how you experience God's abundance here. What "roots" you in this parish community and helps you to grow? And how migh your gift help others to grow in their faith as well?
Please prayerfully consider your financial pledge for the coming year and submit this form as soon as you are able.
A donor can transfer money directly from an IRA. For those donors older than 73, this transfer can be part of their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Though ordinarily people over 73 will be required to pay taxes on their RMD, amounts donated directly to St. Mary's are exempt from federal income tax. For this form of donation, the donor should contact their financial advisor to determine appropriateness for them, and the best process.
A donor can give appreciated stock. Assuming the donor can transfer stock to the Church’s broker, our broker can sell the stock at current market, and the donor can deduct that amount without having to pay taxes on the appreciated value.
A donor can set up periodic payments from their credit card, debit card, or bank account. While that service is very convenient, it does require a form to be submitted enabling our Church staff to set it up and does result in fees charged to the Church.
We provide generic envelopes in the back of Nave to allow folks to donate cash and still provide their names so that we can credit their donation toward their pledge, or just provide privacy for their gift. For those that donate via check either by plate or by mail, there is no problem in recording their donation.
If you are looking for a way to support St. Mary’s and its many missions over the long term, you can consider a gift to the church’s endowment fund. We accept gifts in the form of cash or securities, and the contribution can be immediate, or in the form of a planned donation in the future via an estate bequest.
Estate gifts can be through your will or trust, a life insurance policy or by naming St. Mary's as a beneficiary of your IRA. For more information please conatct the church office.
